Ashadhi Ekadashi

Students crafted Bhagwan Vitthal's picture. Each class had actively participated in this activity. They made use of various techniques in art and craft like ; sponge printing, painting with big brush, pasting decorative material on Vitthal cutout, pasting pataka. We also had a small dindi procession where children sang songs (Gajar). We narrated stories of Saints which connected with life skills.

Primary

Guru Pornima

The whole preprimary section was turned into an insect habitat on the Creepy Crawly day. There were play stations put up inside classes which were full of innovative puzzles and games. Parents and students enjoyed a lot. It was not just play but a learning experience for our students. The creative work of the students was showcased very well.

Primary

Ganapati idol making workshop

We had arranged a Ganapati idol making workshop for grade 6 in school on Sat 6th Aug. This was conducted by our school art and craft teachers. This was a good opportunity to bridge the gap between teacher and students and strengthen their bonds in an informal way. Children also explored properties of clay soil like being sticky, more on water retention which is needed to cast an idol. While making idols they also had to deal with ratio and proportion logistics. Thus tried to connect science and maths in day to day life. Being the first ever experience of crafting Ganesh idol they were so engrossed, that hardly did anyone realise they were sitting glued in one place for 2 hours.

Primary

Raksha Bandhan

Bandhan of love and care with all, for all. Children made Rakhi for their Didi and Bhaiya . They also celebrated it in a different way. Elder Didi and bhaiya made bhel while the younger ones made chocolate ladoo as a treat for each other. They tied Rakhi and also shared this meal in one classroom. When it comes to protect and love each other we cannot have gender discrimination. Hence even didi was wearing Rakhi on her wrist which was tied by her bhaiya.

Primary

Gokulashtami

Gokul ashtami was a day where teachers narrated stories about Lord Krishna. They performed Radha krishna dance, garba, and sung songs for children. Children performed pooja and sung Krishna aarti.
